I had the opportunity to partner with Giesenbrau Brewery to reimagine their brand and visual identity. The goal was to bring their story—and their exceptional beer—to life through design that feels as bold and welcoming as their brewery itself. Inspired by owner Erin Hutton’s time spent in Germany enjoying authentic biergartens, we set out to reflect that same spirit here in Minnesota. The new look combines a modern blackletter typeface—a subtle nod to traditional German design—with vibrant, stained glass-inspired illustrations that add warmth, energy, and approachability. The result is a brand that feels true to their roots, proudly local, and unmistakably Giesenbrau.
